This month the film capital of the world will get a double dose of the Architecture + Design Film Festival, and WestEdge is thrilled to be a part of it!
The first Short Films Walk: LA (SFW: LA) will take place at the Helms Bakery District on March 10th, and includes a full day of FREE screenings with over 24 short films on architecture and design. Guests can pop into any of the six participating showrooms on the walk — Arcana Books, Harbour Outdoor, H.D. Buttercup, Room & Board, Scandinavian Designs and Vitra — and experience a unique program of films curated by ADFF.
The following week from March 14-18, the full five-day Architecture & Design Film Festival (ADFF), presented by Pacific Sales Kitchen and Home, takes place in downtown LA at the Los Angeles Theater.
Founded in 2009, the Architecture & Design Film Festival celebrates the creative spirit that drives architecture and design. The event takes place in creative hubs all around the world, and what better city to spotlight the leading names in architecture and design than Los Angeles!
ADFF: LA will screen 33 films from 12 countries with many Q&A’s and panel discussions. ADFF:LA will be downtown at the Los Angeles Theatre Center. The magnificent marble clad, glass ceiling lobby will be transformed into ADFF’s festival lounge where they will feature virtual reality experiences, a pop–up book store, the US premiere of a Vitra Furniture display, and a selection of short films shown on the stunning Sony Ultra-Short Throw 4K HDR Home Theater Projector.
